My roomate just freed two mice from a sticky trap (the ones with the glue). They still have glue on thier fur and one of thier legs is broken, but they're alive and unstuck. Will they survive?
Don't ask why she had the traps if she didn't want them to die. I don't know. But I'll feel terrible if they die.

The one with the broken leg would be better off dying, unless you can get him to a vet and have the leg splinted and pain meds administered. He broke his leg trying so hard to escape. The other one may survive, but who knows. Glue traps should be banned - they are horrific and disgusting.

weither they are hurt or not, the likely hood of them living is rare if you are intending on keeping them in a cage. The stress of being traped will kill them. I have saved several mice from my cats (I have a soft heart, what can I say) and most have died with in the first day. (I didnt want to take them out side thinking they would just come back in) I would suggest your roomate get the old fashion traps or them live traps then that way she can trap and release.

There are catch and release traps in hardware stores. Peanut butter is the best bait. The mouse walks in but cant leave but you can easily open the door and shake the mouse out on the ground.

take the poor things to a loving vet. he'll fix their legs, yell at you for having glue traps, and he'll test them for anything a mouse can carry. mice make great pets.

the one with the injured leg is in more danger but it's possible that both could survive. mice are very hardy.

Yes they can live. If the leg is not set and a cast put on it, the chances are that it will be deformed when it heals.

the glue on those traps is poisonous to them to so most likely not. when they go to clean the glue off and swallow it, it will most likely kill them.

They won't live long if they're injured.

Why would you want to free a mouse? They're pests that carry disease.
