My friends kid was wearing 9 month clothes when she was 6 months. She was really long too. Shes now 19 months and she fits into 24 month clothes but her growing started slowing down a little after she turned one. I think that this kind of thing is very common.

It's not uncommon. The clothing sizes are inconsistent, to put it mildly. Every baby grows differently - one six month old might wear a 6mo onesie but 12mo pants, another might still be in 3mo everything. Remember, those growth charts give ranges of length and weight for a reason - babies aren't all cast from the same mold.

If you're curious about how common/uncommon her height is, use those growth charts you get from the doctor. Look at her length on there. Is she around the 95% mark? Then that means that 5% of babies her age are her height or taller. 75% mark means that 25% are her height or taller.

Yes, my son was wearing 18 mo clothes when he was 6 months, now wears 24 mo at 9 months and will be going up to a size 2 pretty soon!

It's always been a fact that there are more idiots than wise folks. Back before education was the responsibility of a third party I think there was more common sense because children could only learn from their elders who know better, but these days common sense and logical thinking is not taught anymore and is certainly not encouraged amongst the religious. Practicing Shaman... quantum physics rocks.

yeah, i would say so. I work with children and have neices and nephews and I really dont think it should cause much cvoncern. All children grow at their own rate. My neice was always taller and still is and has always worn clothing labeled for larger sizes although she is skinny. It is just how she grows, but she is in perfect health.

Your child's body will change constantly for many years to come so I wouldnt worry. I think this is very common. Hope this helps and have a great day with your little girl. :)

That's very common. Sometimes babies are just taller so they need the next size up. She's not in 3 toddler size so I wouldn't worry!!!
