I for once think that people are getting to freaked out by this....it is known that the world goes through changes all the time.nothing ever atays the same...i think that we do have to prepare for the worst as the planet will need to recover from all the damage we have caused to it.....our ancestors have survived the worst why can't we....or if not then hey welcome the new species and bye bye humanity....it's how the world works....and there is nothng you(i mean in general) can do about it.what do you think.

I like your attitude and I share it. Why worry, just do what you can to increase your chances of surviving what may be headed our way and let the cards fall where they will: hopefully the cards don't fall on top of us, but if they do, Oh well.

I live in an area that is a bit too close to the Ocean and is well known for earthquakes. I don't think this would be the best place to be if we experience a pole shift, so I may just leave the area for a few years. At the very least, I may reinforce my home to be able to handle a strong earthquake or a powerful hurricane or maybe even a tsunami: Why tempt fate.

I've read some Mayan prophecy and know they are tops in things dealing with space and time. Here is a little about the people and their prophecy for the time.

_______________________________________

The Mayan Indians regard their beliefs as both a science and a religion. Their discoveries are not done in a lab but rather by tapping into the cosmos via the mind. Through the extensive use of meditation, they are able to discover and track planetary movements as well as space anomalies such as black holes. They used this information to construct a calendar so accurate that no present day calendar can rival its accuracy. They also use this information to predict future events.

According to some Mayans, this date marks the end of the long count of their calendar; Set to end on a winter solstice (12-21-12). On this date, our Solar system will be aligned , with the Milky Way's equator. Our sun will be centered in a position called "The Tree of Life", as it does every 25,800 years. We will have exited the forth dimension and entered the fifth dimension. This date also marks the end of the Mayan "Great Cycle" of the long count, which is equivalent to 5125 years. We exit the age of Pisces and enter the age of Aquarius.

In this position, unusually violent sun spot activity may cause a pole shift. Earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods will run ramped. Significant loss of life may occur. Earths magnetic field will temporarily collapse. Humans will be exposed to a cosmic energy that will facilitate enlightenment. In this state of higher consciousness, we will recognize that all matter, plant, animal, mineral are bound as one. This realization will mark the end of wars for a time. People will be able to connect to the essence of god (vibrating energy) like only the most enlightened can.

The date marks a goal to be reached. Evil forces will make every effort to keep humanity from reaching the date. These evil forces are those entrenched in the third dimension, in the Material world. They have no desire to leave this age and wish to continue exploiting and endangering all life for material gain.

Wars just prior to this date could be most devastating, with a loss of as much as 2/3 of our population anticipated. The resulting man made environmental damage could make life inhospitable for those who survive.

Humans have freewill, Man's future is not set yet, nor predictable:
STRIVE FOR PEACE

Sandra, I am seriously worried about this. So much so that I am gathering supplies like water (bottled) wood for our fireplace and masks (for breathing air dense with particulates). Also stocking up on canned food and non- perishable food items. If nothing happens, I'll just have some extra stuff. If something happens along the lines predicted and projected, then hopefully, I'll hang on as long as possible. The problem is that no one living now has ever experienced a shift in the magnetic field, so we don't know for sure what will happen and what to prepare for. It is not just the Mayan calendar predictions that lead me to take this seriously. There is some hard core geological evidence that the magnetic field is already co-mingling and evidence that the Earth has gone through shifts before.

Well I think it's so controversial because of the stated accuracy of the Inca calendar, but I agree with you there's really not a whole hell of a lot that we can do about it, so why worry!!!
