you should ask for joint custidy as long as the other one is a good parent to because courts like it when both parents can stay in the kid (s) life. if the other parent is no good the fight for full custidy

Get an attorney and file for sole custody. That way you get to claim the kids as a tax exemption and the other spouse has to pay child support. In addition (most importantly) you see your children everyday, not every other weekend.
