I had looked into the possibility of it, and after doing a LOT of research, decided against it.

To start, there's a 14% failure/complication rating. This includes such problems as the insert spontaneously expelling from one or both fallopian tubes, an insert puncturing a tube, infection, or a lack of scar-tissue-buildup.

Also, the procedure is not immediately effective, nor can it be performed if you're currently using an IUD (it would need to be removed first). So you need to either stay on the pill or use a different method of birth control for at LEAST 3 months.

There's also the possibility of complications from the HSG test that must be done at 3 months to make sure your fallopian tubes are completely blocked.

Finally, if you DO change your mind about having a baby later on, this method is NOT reversible (versus surgical TL methods).

Please do your research before going through with this procedure.

i'm on your concern too, I enquirerd a pair of UID yet they're meant to be painful to insert in case you haven't any longer had any babies yet. i do no longer understand what united states of america you're in, yet in the united kingdom they do no longer seem to do essure. that is meant to be much less intrusive than getting your tubes tied tho. i think of vasectomy is the superb operation, it particularly is a miles less complicated operation than getting tubes tied and medical doctors are extra possibly to grant it to a guy than a female.
