You have to use iTunes to transfer file to your iPod. Apple designed it to only work with iTunes.

You can download songs from anywhere, but to convert them to your ipod you need itunes. Apple has that locked down pretty good.

There's no way around it. You have to have iTunes in order to download songs. Apple has that packed down very well

Actually, you can use Winamp to download songs into it, but it's quite complicated so I've never tried. You're better off with iTunes. iTunes might seem scary and difficult at first but it's one of the best and easier to use programs out there.

you won't be able to placed them on your iPod without iTunes. What you are able to do is get the songs and placed them into iTunes and then on for your iPod. acquire and alertness like Limewire (its loose). It sync's the songs into iTunes. and then its only a count number number of draggin and droppin into your iPod. reliable luck

You can't you need itunes. You can download songs for "free(not really)" using programs called ares,bearshare, kazaa, or limewire.

you dont have to pay to use itunes. i use limewire to download for free. then i transfer them to itunes. itunes just holds my library.
