Everytime I ask a question, I actually have people say that planes hit the building, so it has to be true- why? I really laugh because all of these ppl have not looked at both sides of the story like many of us have. To believe the officail story means that you believe that the law of conservation of momentum was violated-that is a fact. How could the towers fall at free fall speed when the mass was hitting the floor below it ? How could it retain its speed. That is like saying I could run through a shut door and still maintain the same speed- impossible. So all of you can call me crazy, but I think believing that the laws of physics were violated is a ridiculous theory.

mike- just another reason you look stupid, it is not a liberal idea - how is physics liberal, how are hundreds of prominent conservatives liberal- you need to do the research.

2007-03-08 07:17:26 · update #2

pragmati- well your physics can easily be proven wrong. You will not be able to find any expert to agree with you. The so-called experts simply ignore it. Did you know the NIST scientists only look what caused the initiaation of the collapse and nothing else. Not one person has yet to explain this.

I have actually read and studied links such as those for hours. They have all been debunked- why don't you be open minded like myself and do the research.

Brett, are you implying that the events of 9/11 never happened? Now that is some theory you have. Common sense should tell you the official version is a conspiract theory- 19 hijackers conspiring to hijack planes. Could you elaborate?

2007-03-08 10:31:08 · update #5

Elizabeth- you are insensitive. You want the real criminals to continue to run this country. I actually care about the 3000 men and women who died on 9/11 and I want justice. I thnk I am reporting you for this. Hey everybody, I am open to debate all of you at the same time just as I debate and embarass my professors. You all need to take a look at the alternative theory

i dunno .. to me the "official" story is the biggest conspiracy theory of all tho ...

It's been said that a good catch-phrase can obscure analysis for fifty years. We're still uncovering a long chain of "conspiracy" between the Vatican and the Third Reich, what with pictures of Hitler and the Pope and cardinals all together smiling and wearing swatzika armbands. Whether or not our government was directly or indirectly behind 911, I do remember that the very first newscasts said that "government saboteurs" were being pursued as a highly suspected group. All phone lines in Washington DC were ordered to be tapped for 48 hours after that tragedy. Only time and a guilty deathbed conscience will ever reveal if any of this is true.

how can you prove that none of the momentum was dissapated by the impact of the floors? Where is your proof that it's just 'free fall'? Just looking at the video of the collapse?

Are you a structural engineer? Have you studied the way the towers were constructed and what held the floors in-place? I believe there was some dissapation of the momentum by the floors, but once the structural integrity was compromised by the weakened floor (the one where all the jet fuel went into), the weight of the floors above it cause the pancake effect...and as more and more weight was added to the collapsing debris combined with gravity, it may appear to be in 'free fall' when viewing the video.

Just my 2 cents.

Otherwise, you obviously believe the conspiracy theory...were there charges set at every level to allow the tower to fall? That would seem to contradict first hand testimony of the survivors (those inside and outside the building).

Rhetorical questions like this from a prejudiced viewpoint seem to be designed only to garner kneejerk responses (either in opposition or agreement), rather than actually request information.

Yes, planes hit the buildings. How do I know. I was there. I saw them. Were you? I doubt it or you wouldn't keep spouting this rubbish. You obviously have no engineering knowledge or you wouldn't keep spouting the same old lies. And you are being abusive, this is not a question but an insult. I don't often report but this I may. It is a gross insult to all those who died, all the passengers on the planes who died in the crashes I saw. You are an insensitive, uncaring mentally challenged dupe for those who are so blinded by hate as to actually come up with this rubbish.

I have looked at the alternative theory and there is no hard evidence, just half truths and innuendos. Accusations that those on the planes did not die but are hidden away somewhere!!! How is that sensitive? As long as you can make your political point you do not care about the families who suffered. I repeat, this is insensitive and uncaring, a trait shared by those who share your unsupportable beliefs. If you had seen the attack you would not take this position. It is interesting that those who keep reposting the conspiracy theory were no where near the attacks but repeat the lies spread about it. I repeat, I saw the planes hit the WTC. So don't tell me it was brought down any other way.

First of all, it is not a story, it is what happened. People's opinions do not change the facts. Airplanes hit the buildings and the buildings collapsed.

Should the buildings have collapsed? I find it quite likely that the design engineers traded off the cost of making the buildings airplane proof for the risk of such an event happening. That is the nature of engineering. Every product (building, house, car, iPod, etc) is built to handle a certain amount of punishment. If you go beyond that, things break.

No, they don't. That is why they keep the conspiracy's going. The sad thing is they actually think they're smart, and the rest of us are just blind and stupid. What can one do with a person like that, who is so full of hate, and their own ego, they would deny reality, and truth, even to their own death bed. I think all that can be done about them is to simply ignore them. That will piss them off! No attention, no false BS story. They'll shut their stupid traps soon enough. Of course, it will only be replaced with another ridiculous theory!

Nobody knows the inside maze of details like author Peter Lance. Until you hear his presentation of facts no one can 'guess' out of allegiance what went wrong. His book 'TripleCross' has unbelievable evidence for the reader to decide on.

If all the ostriches would (please!) take their heads out of the sand, we might be able to keep our nation free. Too bad that a lot of blood may yet flow even if all of them do.

The momentum of the total mass of the falling upper floors is enough to overcome the resistance of the next single floor below.
And even more so until they reach the ground floor, because the total mass of the falling floors is incremented continuously by the next ones.
This is how MY phisics works.

if you have done a lot of "research"(I question what you could find by reading links for hours) and you think it was a conspiracy then I pity you.

It's always a shame when a person's IQ is smaller than their shoe size

there was no conspiracy, the official story's correct, and you can't provide any evidence to the contrary

EDIT:

I mean the official story is correct, and you haven't provided any evidence to the contrary. I invite you to do so

It's a conspiracy! Either that, or reall sloppy work on someone's part, and I think it is about time the president tell the truth to the families of all those who died in that tragic event.
