I have a 533mhz ram card unused and I wanted to give it to my friend, but he doesn't know whether he has 533 or 667 mhz ram and he asked me how to find out but I realized I don't know how to myself. I tried dxdiag, but it doesn't say, and I couldn't find anything in device manager.

Usually, if you boot computer, then go into setup screen it wil show your speed there. Otherwise you can go to My computer, right-click, properties. The first tab usually shows what you have. If not, best to download for free Everest Edition and it will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know. Very easy to use and incredibly informative.

It should say when you right click on the "my Computer" icon and select "Properties". If not there, go into "Control Panel->System->Device Manager" and try finding the processor model make and number in there, and search wikipedia for your particula brand of processor specs.

It will tell you that & more in a simple, clean & easy to read interface :

As per Memory specs :
Frequency and timings.
Module(s) specification using SPD (Serial Presence Detect) : vendor, serial number, timings table.

When you first turn it on, it should tell you what the memory is clocked at. If not, then you can try taking his memory out of the computer to check.

If it does not say the speed on it, then you can just google the numbers on the sticker and it should tell you the specs.
