^ = caret
{} = braces, or curly braces
[] = brackets, or square brackets
| = bar, vertical bar
\ = backslash
<> = less than/greater than sign
/ = forward slash
? = question mark

^ is a carrot, used to show something like the 2 in a square root. 5^2

{ } are called braces

[ ] are called brackets

| ....this one I have no clue, but reminds me of the symbol in math for the |-3| = 3 can't think of the teminology

\ is a backwards slash, not sure what it is used for.

< > are less than greater than signs for math

/ is a forward slash seen in most web addresses.

These are the normal "extra" characters on the English keyboard. And, they all have names which the other people have spelled out correctly. I use these symbols a lot for programming.

These characters also have a specific number. You may be interested in the character charts. at w3.org, unicode committee

< - less than?
> - greater than?
/ - back slash
? - question
