One of the most famous songs by Metallica, One, is about a man who has lost his arms and legs (I think his senses too). If you were in that person's position, would you still have a desire to live, or would you want to commit suicide?

Not only did he lose his apendages, he lost his sight, and ability to speak. The song was based on a movie called "Johnny got his gun"-- he communicated by banging his head on the table in morse code----if that's not hell I don't know what is. If I am no longer a productive meber of society,
I choose suicide.---Good question!!

This isn't Metallica's idea. The whole thing was taken from the book JOHNNY GOT HIS GUN by Dalton Trumbo.

Well, you couldn't commit suicide because you have no physical autonomy and no way to communicate to someone else. But I might try to will myself to death!
