How do i transfer everything from my old hd to my new one i know i have to change the old one to slave after?

You can use a hard rive clone program that will make an EXACT copy of your old hard rive to your new hard drive.

I use and recommend ACRONIS, they have a Fully functional Trail copy...

Most HD manufacturers include a software for cloning the contends of the old drive to the new drive. The instructions are relatively easy and should not present a problem.
