My partner and I are leaving the country and moving to Bulgaria (before this country becomes a complete Totalitarian state). We are taking our 3 cats and 2 dogs, although i have no problem with all the blood tests and jabs they need i am very concerned about the microchip. Maybe that's an understatement, i will not under any circumstances have my pets microchiped. What do i do about bringing them with us to our new farm in Bulgaria?

ok, you don't understand why i don't want them microchipped... they are not numbers, they are living beings. they can also be used for mind control and tracking purposes. this is a complete erosion of their freedom. how many of you would want a microchip under your skin?

Ok, you all think I’m crazy, that's fine. I’m not stupid I have reasons for being suspicious. Pigeons in china have had a microchip implanted so they can be manipulated in such a way they lose their homing instinct and do exactly as the person with the control wants it to do.

I am not an idiot; I don't think the government is trying to control my cats. But it's morally wrong. I love my cats very much, they are like children to me and I would never hurt them or risk them being endangered.

I am not sure why you don't want them microchipped - my dog is and he is happy as a sand boy!

I must say that I agree with everyone else. I have all of my pets micro chipped and they act the same as they did before. It's not painful for them and think of it this way: If they got separated from you, don't you think they would hope that you'd be able to find them? A microchip would make it easier for you guys to be reunited.

No micro chip = no pet passport.....those are the rules and there's no way round it, unless you become very silly and attempt to smuggle them in.If you are stupid enough to try that and get caught, your pets will be destroyed if you are outside the Uk and you will get locked up for the offence.

It is not a nasty procedure, my dog has her full pet passport and was m/chipped, didnt even notice. Its also going to become law in some EU countries that pet must be m/chipped before they can be boarded. But you need to get off your silly stone if you want to take your pets with you, you have two choices, chip them or leave them behind.

You will NOT get them boarded on a plane or ferry without full pet passports.....without m/chips you have no pet passport, you are risking your animals health through stupidity

Why on earth would you be against microchipping? It hurts for a few seconds and after that, it guarantees you being reunited with your pet if it gets found after running away or getting lost.

my dog's micro-chipped.
it doesn't bother him & dread 2 think that anything may happen 2 him, at least it guarantees me a chance of getting him back.

if that's the legal requirement 4 bulgaria u may not have a choice.
if u can take them with u, take them.
u'll appreciate having friends ( ur pets ) while finding ur feet in a new country.
don't let a lil chip stop u or ur pets, who would prefer 2 stay with their owner,
that they know, trust & need.

If its a legal requirement for Bulgaria you have no choice except not to move there.Mind wonder how long before theres a law to force us in the UK to have it done.
