The majority of them were. Hardly any of them could actually act, they were who they were because they were "dashing" or "glamorous".

In my opinion, hardly any of the old stars were actually very good actors. The main people I don't include in this is Jimmy Stewart and Gregory Peck (regardless of what my husband says). I also think Audrey Hepburn was not a bad actress.

Cary Grant, John Wayne, Clark Gable, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Mickey Rooney, Clint Eastwood... all garbage.

But pretty garbage.

Even though I really like her I think marilyn Monroe b/c she was really made famous for her sex appeal and that's it they didn't give her a chance to show if she had any real talent, and also I'd say Bette Davis.
