you can also replace the 62 pin connector in the snes. online auction sites like ebay will have them in surprisingly large quantities.

when you get a new connector, it is imperative that you also open up and properly clean the game chip's copper contacts as well. rubbing alcohol really seems to be the best solution for that, based on effectiveness, price, and availability

You can open the Nintendo and your game cartridges and clean the copper contacts. The reason you have to blow in your cartridges is because you have worn/oxidized copper contacts, and blowing spreads an even layer of moisture along the surface of the contacts, allowing them to conduct one more time. Super Nintendo? Man, people still play them things? Can't you just get an emulator and play all the games on your PC? You can probably download every game made in any language you prefer, for free. No blowing either.

Not really, it is an old Nintendo thing. Although it wasn't as bad with the Super Nintendo. Maybe if you could find the old cleaning kit(yeah good luck) that would help.

No. Unless you buy a new game and/or new SNES. It just happens, I mean is it that much of a nuisance for the second best gaming console ever? (N64 is first.)

You must be young, that's the way we had to do it back in the day. You can try buying a cleaner, but those don't seem to do much.
