I recently left my job and registered with an employment agency, but I'm wondering if I'll be able to claim benefits for the days/weeks that I'm not actually working. Is this possible?

You can claim when you are :-

a) not working (and not being paid not to work - so you can't claim during your 'Notice period' even if the Company lets you go early eg. 'Gardening Leave')

b) available for work

Are you asking if you can claim unemployment benefits while being registered with an employment agency? If so, then yes, you can file and collect unemployment wages when you do not work. If you do work for the agency you must report how many hours you worked and wages that you earned to unemployment and your benefits will be adjusted to reflect the amount earned.

yes you can I know someone that does. Just talk to the jobcentre though to clear things up, and they can help you with finding a job with their job banks too.

Yeah you can.

Also did you know that anybody single or not can claim working families tax credit?

in the event that they have been unlawful immigrants the government would feed them, deliver their babies to college, provide them a house, JSA and money to deliver back to what ever country they got here from, all out of the tax payers money.
