I don't think it's such a simple answer. Depends on why they cheated, with who, and what for? If we were having problems in our relationship, and I was partly to blame, and I loved him, then I would probably try to work things out.
I would be hurt, but nothing is ever so simple as black or white. So no, I don't think my partner having an affair would necessarily kill our relationship stone dead. Good complex thought-provoking question.

I have to say that if my partner cheated once he would most likely do it again and I could forgive what was done. I have to say that an affair would kill my relationship stone dead.

I think I could forgive a cheating partner, but this is because the probability is high that I would need the same forgiving attitude returned.

There is generally some blame on the other side. The partner must have been unhappy with the relationship in some way to want to cheat.
If my gf cheated, I'd take a look at myself before making any rash decisions.
That being said, there are some serial cheaters out there.

I love my hubby so much it would just break my heart if he ever cheated on me, I could never trust him again so what would be the point of continuing our relationship because were there's no trust their can be no love.

It would kill it instantly. You could never trust them again. Also, I don't do sloppy seconds. I can put up with ups and downs in a relationship but need to be able to trust him to keep it in his trousers!
