I work for the National Croquet Center. I am 28 years old, and I notice that most people who play are "oldies but goodies" if you know what I mean... I was asked by someone "Why is it younger people do not play"... so I ask that to you... I played a few times and it is really fun, plus the exclusivity of a private club makes for a great atmosphere, but there is no one my age to play with... please tell me your thoughts!!

mostly I played as a child with a big yard and family to play with. Now it is not heard of, in the mid-class community at least. Where can someone who is not rich and cannot afford a "club" go ?
likely that's why, we don't ride horses for show either.

I've played before, but if it's only in private clubs, how are people supposed to know how to play? If it's seen as an older person's game, then that's all it will be.

My family plays in the backyard at family gatherings and holidays, and it is fun. I had no idea there was organized croquet.
