As a therapist, I wouldnt reccomend that you bleach. The reason for this is sometimes, particularly if you dont have an incredibly pale skin, the hairs will be a lot lighter and therefore more noticable. Also, underneath any sun or lights, the hair will shine. Trust me - Not a good look.
I would suggest waxing. Home wax kits are usually not of a very good quality, so already you will be at a disadvantage. Another problem can be that the area is very sensitve and burning and bruising are very common when you are A) anticipating ripping the hairs out, and B) when you really have no experience in this field.
Visit a reputable Salon/Spa and have this waxed proffessionally. It isn`t very expensive and it only takes two minutes! Its not half as painful as attempting to do it yourself and then you have the expertise of somebody trained as well, so the likeliness of injury is considerably lower.
Good Luck

You could either...
Bleach your facial hair- but only if you have fair skin, and even then, your facial hair can show in certain lights
Get it waxed at a salon... I know you're put of by waxing, but the waxing at salons are completely different to home kit ones, so the wax won't get stuck to your skin... I promise! It's very cheap as well...
Some Salons also do this thing called Electronlosis, which is a permenant solultion. Basicly they take each single hair, and sort of electrocute it, so it kills the root. That would cost about a 3 figure sum...
Or for a more drastic and expensive approach, there's always Laser...
But whatever you do, never ever shave it! The hair comes back twice as thick, and twice as fast....
Hope this helps :)

Professional waxing is best unless you want to spend the money on laser. Professional waxing is much faster than you trying it at home and since they do it all the time and much faster :-) plus it last longer and it is not that expensive, plus over time you will find the hair comes back in less quickly or at least it seems so. You are not the only with that problem, many women suffer from it and it is a royal pain in the rear!

Go to a salon and get it waxed professionally. Costs about £7. Stings for a split second. And if the hair is very dark then bleach it yourself or in a salon between waxes. Or just go for a wax whenever you need. Thats what I do!

I have tried waxing, Immac and threading and each one had their own drawbacks, but by far the best method was threading even though I got spots afterwards. Now I use eze-tweeze which is like the threading but I don't get the spots anymore. Also that I do not need to find a salon to do it for me. It's really easy to use and so cheap and does not hurt like waxing and threading. For me it's been the answer I'd been looking for ages. It's just brilliant.

Hi Hun, Join the club, lol.
I'm mixed race and so my lip hair is dark I've tried and tested every option I could afford and bleaching does work just be carefull how long you leave it on for.
But I would recommend THREADING, its quicker than waxing and lasts longer I would say its less painful too. If you can find an asian ladies beauty salon they charge about £2 to £3 for lips and dont forget the side burns. lol. I have them done to and my eyebrows.
Good luck Hun. hope it helps.

OK wax hurts yes but if you use a little talk b4 it helps.
Don't forget you shouldn't wax your face over 45 years as it stretches the skin (they don't tell you that)
shaving and epilators, your hair grows back stronger darker and stubble, you also get stubble from most creams.
electrolysis hurts like hell in the lip, and takes 12 to 18 months of weekly visits.
Laser, well I have just brought one, so far without much success but that may be me.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Whatever you do- don't shave it, it just grows back even thicker. I would suggest to you to wax it, like at a spa or something, it works great and lasts for a long time. You could bleach it too, but sometimes its not a good idea especially if you have sensitive skin.

The best way to remove unwanted hair is is laser. Just one or two visit to the doctor and you will be ok. After wax, they are begin to grow up again, so it's better to use laser. No pain, no red stains, no stress, not so much expensive. Trust me!
