Yeah Doctor Frank why not put it this way "Beware of Homeopathic Medicine they can cure you " and that is what it seems is what our conventional doctors don't want to happen. :-) Excuse my sarcasm.
Good answer CHANDU P. Thumbs Up !

Dear la_belle_lou you can take CHANDU P's advice or you look it up Homeopathic Remedies in MATERIA MEDICA(MM) by clicking the links :-
http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/index.htm
or in Dr J.T.Kents Repertory :-
http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/index.htm

Or you can give us some more detailed symptoms so an appropriate remedy can be suggested according to the patients symptoms.
Feel free to email me if you need any advice about Homeopathy and don't mind the ignorant people's advice because they do not know any better, all they can do is invent fancy names for disease and disorders which they do not understand and hence cannot cure. Look up CAUSTICUM in the Materia Medica similar remedies are also suggested there and to look for drug relationship SIMILARS / INIMICALS etc please visit this site :- http://homeoint.org/hering/drugrelationship.htm

I hope and pray that my answer is of help to you !
Take Care and God Bless You !

You'll have to go to the drug store for this... so not home remedy but it is the best thing I have found. I've tried about every remedy there is. It's called Iodex. It looks like axle grease but if you use it your poison ivy will be dead the next day. To use it though you have to break all of the rules: 1. scrape open the blisters and clean with soap and water. 2. dry off and quickly apply the Iodex then cover with gauze or a soft dry cloth so you won't wipe the Iodex off accidentally. The next morning you'll see that the poison ivy is dead. You'll probably have to ask the pharmacist to get it for you as it won't be out on a shelf or display. It's not prescription. Make sure you ask for the one that is for cuts and abrasions. @JenV: Thanks for that. Like you I have been covered from head to foot, many times. I will have to give your Neoxyn a try. This is the first I have heard of it.

I would give up and choose another avenue. The few controlled studies involving homeopathy have shown it to be no better than placebo. Only plus it doesn't have any more side effects than placebo either!
