I have two codes on my engine;
1)Engine coolant temp
circuit hight imput
2) IAT Sensor 1 circuit high (or it was 1AT)

Can anyone tell me what these mean. My guage isn't going up so the engine doesn't seem to get hot. but when I come to a stop sometimes it tries to die and will 1 out of 5 times. I understand the sensor for 2 is high, what is it?

IAT = intake air temp sensor

you need to mechanically check the operating temp of the engine to make sure your Gage is working properly because IAT is the intake air temp sensor and if your vehicle is running hot it will cause the IAT sensor to act up(sending false singles to the comp.). if coolant temp is fine try changing or relocating IAT farther from motor to a cooler place The easiest way to trouble shoot your own vehicle is buy a bible at the parts strore for it (about $25) well worth it for the do it yourselfer there step by step easy to read.
