There is a train from Boston to Pawtucket and then you could take a bus to Providence. I believe it's the "L" from Amtrack

There should be. A few years back I always took the train from Boston to Providence. I left from South Station. Can't give you more info because I haven't been on that train in about 2 years. Sorry.

Yes, there is one. I can't remember what the name of it was but I think that Providence was actually the last stop for it. I visited a friend who lived in Providence this summer and we took the train to Boston. We actually drove a little north and got on another station but I do know that one of the stops was in Providence. YOu'll just have to look up the name on the internet. Hope this helps.

There is a train service that runs between both cities, you can get the schedule at http://www.amtrak.com/ I have taken it a few times!
