Well, the guy who tells him that is a "soothsayer;" in other words, someone who claims to be able to foretell the future.
So, that kind of answers the question; the soothsayer is warning Caesar that something bad is going to happen to him on the Ides of March, but, because Caesar is SO proud and confident, he's naturally going to ignore the dude.

A fortune teller (also called a seer or soothsayer) saw that as the time of his death. In addition to that, Caesar's wife had a dream about him being killed and there were other portents. He should have listened.
