if the sound is not coming from that spk only then check the cables if the problem is with all spk then install the driver for your sound card .

Your network connection should not affect Sound.
1) make sure that you can access the volume controls and set them all to mid level.
Use the Sound recorder or Media player to try to play something.
Make sure that nothing is muted in the playback options.
If it still does not work, call for support since it is new.
