Ive been doing some research on the XBO 360 Premium console and Im going to pick one up. I love video games but know NOTHING about playing via online. How would I get set up if I wanted to suppose play MLB 2k7 against some kid in west bumba ***? Everyone seems to be using their consoles to play with or against people from around the world. Im out the loop. Please advise.

The Xbox 360 does not have wi-fi built in. The Xbox Live service is $50 a year, but your Premium system comes with 1 month free. You'll need to connect your 360 to your high-speed modem (through a router if you want) by an ethernet cord. If you want to connect via wi-fi, you'll need to purchase the wireless network adapter ($100US). After connecting the 360 to your modem, follow the instruction on your box to sign up for Xbox Live. I believe that if you create a Silver account it will automatically be upgraded to Gold for your free month. While connected, simply play your game and access the Xbox Live options to connect to a game. Good luck, and welcome to the Live community!

oke xbox 360= NO wifi

which means u can connect two ways

ethernet cord to router. routers range from like 30-60 dollars. and ethernet cords depend on the length. from like 10 to 80 dollars.

the other way is to get a wifi adapter which costs 100 dollars. and u still need the router.

and of course u need broadband internet which means cable modem or dsl.

and xbox live service is 50 dollars a year or 4 dollars a month

WIFI :P

theres no wifi or any thing in the console that u can use to play online
except for the ethernet socket at the back of the console

u can connect it to a router (nt sure abt this)and u can use the free ethernet adpator to connect (nt sure if ucan connect this directly).

U need a good connection to play 512 kbps is okay bt u really need 1mbps-2mbps

u can also use the "wireless" router :P
to play

i'm not sure about the account or anything, but i know that the 360 pro system has wi-fi built in, so if you have wi-fi in your house it would pick that up, or you can connect it through a cable

i'm saving up for a 360 myself, so i don't know how to set up the account or anything, but i know you get on the internet right through the system
