No, if you mean that they should have their life ended without consent then that would be wrong, however i do agree with it when the person suffering requests it, at the end of the day the people that make the laws aren't the one s that are going through the pain and having a awful quality of life!!!1

To echo most everyone before me...It would be called murder.

There's a reason why it's important for people to let their family/friends/doctors know what they want to happen to them should they become incapable of making any medical decisions themselves.

That's why we have DNR's (do not resusitate (sp?) and living wills so that if someone wishes to be KEPT on life support, their family has to abide by their wishes.

Now to be a bit glib...

Would "killing" a person who is unbelievably stupid be considered unconsensual euthanasia? After all, the person must be in pain because of their stupidity, and wouldn't it be better to euthanize them painlessly rather than let them kill themselves with some retarded move like attaching themselves to a jet engine to see if they can fly???

Like I said, just being glib...

If it's non-consentual then how do you know the person feels they are in enough pain to want to be dead? Euthanasia is a nice way of saying you want to kill someone because their life causes them more pain than comfort and are not able to commit suicide. How do you know the person feels this way and your not just killing them?

Well ditto to what all the other enlightened people before me answered to this. The name for non consensual euthanasia is MURDER!!!

I don't think any form of euthanasia is legal...it is legal to remove life support....but not to actively kill someone, out of mercy or not.

Euthanasia involves actively giving some a drug or something else that works to kill them...and that is illegal, i.e. Dr. Kevorkian.

If the person is in a vegetative state with no hope of recovery then yes. They obviously can't consent.

It depends on the circumstances.

Is it o.k. for me to decide that a terminally ill, comatose family member's feeding tube to be removed? Yes.

Is it o.k. for me to dictate what you should do in that situation? No.

No. That's 1 of the fanciest euphemisms for murder I have ever heard.

If you mean non-consensual, as in the "victim" doesn't consent, then no, that is called murder.
