Generally pluggin in hardwire to your router will be able to increase your d/l rate slightly.

In addition, make sure that your firewall is allowing access through the ports that your Program uses for Downloads.

You will need to check through your Routers website for help with setting up allowances for the certain ports. Usually it involves entering your IP address into the web browser. (usually it should be 192.168.0.1)

From there you will need to look through your Port Forwarding options.

wireless connection works on the signal strength but it is not a reliable connection i would suggest suggest you to use a dsl connection for getting good speed
