- Go to school in your underwear
- Tell the class about something very personal
- Date someone you like personally but wouldn't date because of their looks
- Tell someone you secretly love (assuming you're not already committed) that you love them, maybe even in front of others
- Basically do anything that is normally taboo, that people don't do for fear of being ridiculed.

Ok i had to do this for my class and here were some good ideas other students did:
1) Start up random conversations in the elevator, in the bathroom,
2) When you get on the bus, train or just at the park sit really close to the person next to you
3) Dress up in a costume and go shopping, dont wear a mask because that could leave to trouble
ok those are some ideas hope that goes well

Some easy ones are the standing backwards in the elevator one, or striking up random conversations as well..wearing your backpack in front instead of on your back, smiling and talking to random people on the street, etc. I've personally done two--My group actually had a picnic and played a game in one of our dorm elevators, and then I've also done reguarding social free time---like how males mostly play sports and females sunbathe--As a female i went into a group of all males and played/stuck with their games & leisure activities.

I love this exercise!
Skip instead of walking.
Walk thru an open air mall blowing soap bubbles.
Have a picnic in the deli section of a super market- invite other shoppers to join you.
Walk around with a long tail of toilet paper stuck to your shoe.
Have people sign a petition to ban petitions.
Be a door greeter at a convenience store.
Be sure to get permission first- but make them take a vow of ignorance.
It will have greater impact if it makes you feel silly.
Have fun. Be blessed. Love you.

well, i took a sociology class awhile back, and i remember my teacher saying an example of a social norm is when people all face the same way on an elevator. so, you could try facing the opposite way one day and see how people react to that. it would be interesting.

You might try talking to yourself out loud in a store. This is sure to get some strange looks from others. Talk about the movies you have seen. It will be interesting to see what people do. Most will pretend they have not heard you. Some may say, "May I help you?" Record what happens.
