My older PC which runs on XP needs to be restore because it's running like a snail. I've lost my restore software, can I restore it with another computer's restore software?

Only if the computer is the same tyype and model as the resore CD....if not you still can do it but it would involve maunally extracting the windows install off the restore cd....which is a pain in the *** but possible,...

No, that will not work. You should use System Restore...it's located in Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Or, go to Start, Run and type the following:
%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

No, you may not... Go to any retail store and purchase a new XP OS Disk... This will work.

As long as it is the same model of computer, then yes.

If it is not, depending on the disc, it will probably tell you that you are using the wrong disc.
