Not sure we need to use the word "empire" but every one of Bush's actions, both domestically and in foreign policy, have been based on lies, ignorance and greed. Our nation is certainly a lot lower in both strength and respect than it was 6 years ago, but hopefully it can survive 2 more years of this administration and a new President will begin the long road back to peace through strength, diplomacy and respectability, and fiscal responsibility at home.

I do not believe the premise of your question. There is no "American Empire", and people will look back at this administration as a time in which the United States did all that it could to fight the terrorist threat.

There is no doubt he has taken an interesting approach.
What I find more alarming is the apathy of the American people. We sit and complain but are we doing anything about our current problems? We continue to support a failed two party system. We continue to vote in the same idiots on both sides who have made a career out of being politicians.
We need people who truly represent us and I don't care if you are liberal or conservative the current bunch of idiots don't serve our best intersts.. they serve their own.

I think in fifty years, when we're the new Great Britain, and the Asians are the dominant factor in the world, historians will point to Geoger Bush's squandering of blood and treasure in the face of reality as the beginning of our downfall.

America is not an empire. If there is a downfall, it will be due in large part because of all the PC nonsense that has gotten out of control. .

He has allowed the liberal movement to much freedom. They are allowed to control the media, leak secret information, they are able to abuse the freedom of speech act until they've destroyed the morale in the country. Now they are determined to let the country loose in the war in Iraq! Thats the only bad thing Bush has done in my eyes.

It's been going that way for a few decades now. The Bush administration just pushed it into a major slide downward, however.

Uh, no. America is in solid shape.
America is not an empire. We ARE the strongest country in the world, but when the world has problems they come to us. As much as people want to call us hypocritical, we help out more than some people would like you to believe.
However we also get blamed for more than we should. It's hypocritical for some countries to say we don't do enough in some fields of work, when they themselves don't do enough.
