When I talked to my doctor about ttc she told me to stop taking my birth control pills 3 months before we wanted to start. I stopped the end of November, had my period on schedule, and 26 days later had my next period (end of December). Since then, nothing. I knew it might take a while for my body to regulate itself, and we were using condoms but I still took a few pregnancy tests since I wasn't getting my period - all negative. We started trying at the end of Feb. and now, one week later, I thought I was getting my period but it is really, really light and its only there when I wipe. It started Tuesday afternoon, nothing Wednesday morning, back in the afternoon, and faintly here today. Could this be implantation bleeding? If so, when is the earliest someone would get a positive home pregnancy test result? Thanks for your help.

It could be implantation bleeding... I had enough implantation bleeding that I thought it was my period. My OB/GYN told me to wait until you are one week late to take a pregnancy test. I know it's hard to wait (we tried for 3 years to have a baby and it was agony waiting each time).

I could be a light period (I got a couple when I was pregnant) or implantation bleeding, you should be able to get a positive test now but if you get a negative test, test again in a week and use the first morning's urine. If you still get a negative test but no proper period next month, make an appointment.

may be implantation bleeding. Or it could also be because of rough sex? I had that happen too. Sorry TMI.. But you asked. If you want to know I suggest taking a EPT test or something like that. Do it the week you should get your period. Take it right off the bat in the morning. Early morning urine has the most of the HCG levels in it from building up all night. If you get a positive result call your dr to get a blood test to show the HCG levels in your blood.
HCG is a hormone that you only have if you are pregnant. Good luck.

First Response has tests that you can take 3-5 days before your missed period. I would do the test and wait as long as possible...sometimes it is so faint you can barely see it.
Sometimes your hormones aren't strong enough right away for it to show up on the test. If you get a negative, wait a few more days and try again. If nothing still, see your doctor and they can do a blood test and maybe an ultrasound to see.

it took me 4 weeks before i got a positive test but i never had any type of pink spotting

could very well be implatation bleeding, if so you could test the day you are late with your AF.But it also could be just your hormones out of wack coming off of the pill. good luck and best wishes
