Well I'm probably his biggest fan..lol and no he isn't playing anywhere near his capabilities. There are lots of reasons for for this. Lack of confidence, pressure(he is his own worst critic), some deaths in his family circle that he struggled with, injury. If he has a bad year then he has a bad year. I can guarantee though you won't find he has too many. He'll find his feet and when it happens, we will all be able to enjoy what he truly has to offer.

Had moments of greatness this year, but only really had a few world class games; v. Bolton, Everton, Portsmouth. But, he has also have some really terrible games, Reading, Benfica, Arsenal.
Important for him to regain his confidence, especially his first touch (which really seems to let him down.)
To the person below me, you don't watch enough of Rooney then. Besides Euro 2004, he hasn't been that great for England. Last year, he was probably United's best player, by far. He had numerous games where he was amazing while the rest of United was poor.
You clearly don't watch enough of United or England, because that statement is ridiculous.

absolutely not....rooney's form has dipped a lot this year, cristiano ronaldo and van der sar's saves are carrying them through in the Prem. In the CL, no one is overperforming to be honest.

mmm no not really. I think it will get better eventually thow. I think he plays way better for England then he does for Manchester UTD anyway so we wont get to see what he is fully capable of until the next England game.
