Technically speaking, yes. The laws that surround us are do to politics.

Realistically, no. The evil chessgame known as "politics" does not usually effect you day to day. Most people do not follow politics so in true "if a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound" form, if they don't follow it, it must not effect them.

Not only our lives but gthe lives of other countries as well.
Saddan Hossein got hanged , because the evangelical far right didnt like his policies against Israel.
You too.. could be effected by Pat Robertson and co.
