out that he is pro bush and or voted for bush. and am i being unfair in doing this. plez know that i have strong political views and come from a family that also has them. i think your views are a good gauge of who and what u are.

You obviously feel very strongly about your political views if you're even questioning whether or not you should date someone who doesn't share your views. I think you're being unfair to him, because he may be the type of man who won't push his views on YOU, which is a very commendable character trait...maybe you should think about doing the same.

Why should it matter? If you like this man go for it. Everyone has their own views on subjects anyway - whether they be republican, democratic, independent or whatever.
Besides - it is you who will be possibly dating this man, not your family. Don't let people stand in your way of happiness.
On a personal note - I am not fond of Bush, but hell if I am gonna let his sour reputation ruin my chances of going on a date.

Not commenting on one end of the political aisle or the other, but your chances of long term compatibility go way up when you agree (generally) on things like politics and religion.
