I recommend you to Acronis True Image for that. It is a reliable backup utility that will allow you to backup your entire PC or certain files and folders . True Image can store backup image on any media (HDs, DVDs, CDs, FTP and so on). It can make a bootable CD/DVD so even after a fatal system crash or virus attack True Image can restore your whole OS and program settings.

Purchase a copy of Ghost, you can back up the entire drive or just the partition.

not really no. you can try some harddisk imaging apps. though in case of a crash you can "re-image" back to what you had...
