It could be nothing, but it could be something. First, have you had sex recently? Sex during pregnancy can cause bleeding (increased blood flow to the area). If its just a little bit and it stops you're probably be fine, you can even have bright red blood and be fine.
However, the other thing it could be is a miscarriage. If the bleeding gets really heavy, or is accompanied by craming you could be having a miscarriage.
The best course of action is to call your doctor and let them know what's happening and they will advise you from there.
There's no need to rush out to an emergency room, even if you are having a miscarriage there's nothing they can do to stop it at just 6 weeks.

Discharge during pregnancy is very common, even colored discharge. The color could be coming from old cells in your uterus or cervix that are slowly draining from your body. However, if you start to have really bad cramps or stomach pain, you should go see your doctor as cramps plus pink discharge can be a sign of ectopic pregnant. Sorry, I'm not trying to scare you, as long as you aren't having cramps, you are perfectly fine! Good luck!

Get checked out to put your mind at ease but in 99% of cases this is perfectly normal at this stage. I didn't find out I was pregnant with my 1st baby until after 7 weeks cos I was still spotting....it's actually a sign of pregnancy! I'm almost 19 weeks preg now with numb 2 and had some bright red spotting yesterday so had to get checked out but it was due to an 'erosion' on my cervix and I was assured not to worry.
If it makes you feel any better, I was spotting on and off through most of my 1st pregnancy with nothing whatsoever wrong. Everybody's bodies are different. Relax, check out those websites and see your doc or midwife asap for reassurance. Good luck!!

You should not have pink discharge. I am 14 wks pregnant and my doctor and I have discussed the discharge. So you need to call the doctor so you all can make sure all is good.

It is probably some leftover from the period that never was. If it is a dark red (like a typical period) then you would have some worries. But, this is just discharge. If you are really concerned then contact your doctor and they can settle your fears!
Good Luck!!

I would call your doctor instead of asking a bunch of people that have no idea. I never had discharge so for someone to say its normal, sounds like they are just trying to relax you. It could be a miscarriage, so go see your doctor. It could be serious.

Some spotting is normal during the early pregnancy stage. It's just your body getting rid of old cells. Also, vaginal discharge is very common in early pregnancy, as your body is developing the mucous plug.

once you hear the term no balls, it has a diverse intending to each individual. No balls to a pair human beings ability being scared to get harm, or do something bodily brave. To others it ability being an avoider, averting conflict, or war of words, or manipulating instead of confronting. maximum of my hassle in existence has come not from certainly being an avoider, yet from being a shy individual, and being seen as an avoider. i don't think human beings ought to locate greater guts, because of the fact no person, consisting of me, has guts each and every of the time, on a daily basis. i'm purely a guy with a bad social distrust and soreness, and a few human beings see it as concern of war of words, and as a man or woman, I care what they think of greater suitable than I fake to care approximately them.

i had the same thing at about 6 weeks and 10 weeks - i was scanned both times and all was fine and they couldnt explain the bleeding.
Its probably inplantation bleeding, i know it can be worrying tho, mabe speak to your MW she might send you for a scan at least to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
