there are so many great rides at Alton towers that it is hard o choose one there is oblivion that drops you over the edge and into a misty tunnel and comes out the other side then theres Nemesis which twists and turns you there is the corkscrew which i find is a bit bumpy for me and you get thrown around in your seat that is the oldest roller coaster at Alton towers its been there twenty years and the last one i would recommend is Rita queen of speed if you an Adrenalin rush ride Rita it shoots you out at 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds and then goes round a track its short but you leave your stomach at the start.it really does give you a buzz riding that and when you get off it again you just want to queue up for it again.Alton towers is shut at the moment but Thorpe park which is run by Tussuad's the same company who owns Alton towers opened 10Th of February for half term and weekends Ive been 6 times since it opened and cant wait for Alton towers to open again have fun once you have been once you just cant keep away check out alton towers web site which is www.alton towers.com and also check out www.youtube.com you tube has actual footage people have recorded riding the rides at alton towers all you do is type in alton towers and the ride you want to watch some are just amazing .

I've never been to Alton Towers, but based on ride manufacturers - Air, Oblivion, and Nemesis are all going to be awesome, and smooth, coasters. The trio was built by Bolliger & Mabillard (the company features 25/50 of the roller coasters featured on the Amusement Today Top 50 Best Steel Coasters list, Nemesis places on this list).

Rita will also be a very thrilling, and smooth, ride with a great launch.

Nemesis is good, but I've been on much bigger suspended coasters in the States. That said you are so close to the walls and the turns are really tight so you get lots of thrills and some great G-loads in the tight turns. Oblivion bored me to tears, but I'm not scared of heights. Air is great and unique - if you ever had one of those dreams where you were flying over the fields it's exactly like that. Rita Queen of Speed is hectic - they fire you out of the station and you go from 0-**** in about half a second. The Mine Train thingy is quite good too, as is the mouse ride. You'll have a great time I'm sure.

Rita queen of speed. It is a very quick ride but it is brilliant. You feel as though you are flying as you face downwards. it is such a vrilliant ride. if u go alton towers do not miss out on this one

Definitely Nemesis - what a classic rollercoaster!

Although Air is ok, (and this will sound strange), you are stuck in your chair so rigidly that you actually feel TOO safe. I love the thrill and the fear of being on a rollercoaster, but you literally could not move on Air and it took the scariness out of it.
