there is no question, they are taking jamarcus russell...al davis is obsessed with people who have raw talent but are unpolished, and russell is the perfect fit for them in that he will be a developmental project and is not ready to take on the nfl at this stage in his career...and the raiders are obviously some time away from winning, so they can afford to develop him and let him play his way through mistakes

I think it depends on what happens on draft day. They have the first pick which can be very valuable especially if you trade it to the right team. The Raiders do need a good QB and Jamarcus Russell is a big QB and he is also tall. He can be a very valuable asset to this team. No matter what this team will not make it to the playoffs they just don't have enough good players on both sides of the ball.

I believe right now it is a toss up they need help at QB & receiver. I would pick Calvin Johnson if I was the GM.

It depends what they do with Moss. He stays then its Russell, he goes then its Johnson. I would go with Johnson, Russell doesn't impress me.
