Will Joe Horn have to have a non-impact year for Atlanta to realize that they need a new quarterback?

Can you say Peerless Price? Or any one of the many other receivers that have failed in that system.

Will Vick need to turn another high impact player into a nobody before people realize that he is not a good quarterback?

Joe Horn wont make much of an impression until mid-season 2008. Mike Vick is a better passer than he gets credit for and he's sure the best rushing QB in the league. What the Falcons problem is offensively is the offensive line. Vick has to run with the ball more than he passes because he isn't usually give good protection and don't have time to make the big throws for completion that most other QBs can.

I hope yes; but, Vick appears to be in place, when everyone; but, the owner and coaches, know that he is not going to ever be the man to take Atlanta to the NFL championship. He is too short and throws side armed. His speed would be better served as a slot back that can run some, throw some, and catch some. Horn will probably, if healthy, help us and the coaches realize this.

Here is the thing. The Falcons have a new coach. A coach that says Vick WON'T be running for 1,000 yards again. A coach that says Vick WILL be a passing QB. So they need a WR or two that can fit into that.

Mike vick is a terrible QB- almost an aaron brooks and atlanta will never win it all with vick at the helm.I can't understand him either why doesn't he just play HB?Vick would proably be a pro bowl HB if he would just realize that and change positons.Maybe its becuse he's making to much money sucking at QB or maybe it's becuase he fumbles almost everytime he gets hit I dunno.

boy i have to say if petrino thinks he can turn vick into a passing QB he has a lot less knowledge of offensive talent than i gave him credit for...there is no way vick will ever be a passing QB, and i totally agree with you about vick making impact teammates into no-names, i firmly believe that vick makes everyone around him WORSE as opposed to better, because playcallers need to design plays and gameplans around vick because he has so much *talent*

vick has to stop believin his own hype and fall out of love with himself or hes done.if you look back at highly successfull teams of the past they were good because they involved everyone.year after year they won as a team not troy aikman and the dallas cowboys.or jerry rice and the 49ers.that was a great point you brought up about vick killing his teammates.

they need a terrell owens! a player who will get in vick's face and say "let me do the running and throw me the ball!" its pretty sick how he rushes for more yards then he throws for in 25% of the games.
