I have had a sickness bug that has been going around work for the past few days. The sickness has now wore off and I am feeling better in myself. However I have some crampy wind pains and a bit of the runs (sorry too be graphic) :-( Will this harm my baby the fact that my tummy has been and still is a little off. When I was unwell I had a checkup and blood pressure/baby etc was fine...

As long as the baby is moving, etc, everything is fine. I got the stomach flu when I was pregnant and it was fine. Keep yourself hydrated and call the dr if you are concerned.

When I was 35 weeks with my last preg, I got a stomach bug, throwing up and the runs, that lasted for a whole week and I lost 5 pounds. My doc was not concerned at all and told me it would not hurt the baby. Make sure you are drinking lots of water, about 64-72 oz, and getting lots of rest. You should be fine. Congratulations!

OH I HAD THAT! I'm only 20 1/2 weeks, but yeah I had a stomach virus & even now I go from constipated w/ pains to almost a diarrhea type thing. I even went to the labor & Delivery trauma center. Everything's fine. Just stay hydrated & make sure you eat enough.

No, that stuff won't hurt the baby. If you get dehydrated etc, that can be bad but your body can shake the infection wel enough to protect the baby (better, in fact, than when you weren't pregnant). Keep up your fluids and rest a little extra, you'll be fine in no time.

You should be ok. The poster was right about your body being better equipped now to fight everything off. Make you stay hydrated and fed, and take the prenatal vitamins. Those things really pack a punch. My wife says they are her super pill.

Nope, the baby is fine. As long as you keep taking your prenatals your baby will have all the nutrients it needs to keep going. The important thing is to get yourself back to health...be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

If you continue to have the runs and don't feel well go to the emergency room to get checked out.

I don't think that you have anything to worry about so long as you are keeping yourself hydrated.

If you feel worried call your doctor. That's what they are there for!
