I would rather have a robot dog. When people tend to get a real pet, the person gets emotionally linked with that animal. Then when the animal dies, the person is hurt horibbly because their companion is gone. A robot dog would not go through some of the things like chocolate poisoning and other things that plague real dogs. You can have a robot dog forever.

I'd rather have a robot maid. I hate cleaning house. lol. I wouldn't want a robot dog, I like real doggies.
