How long will it take to reset my truck after battery disconected?

i took this took get inspected, emissions pass but everything else said not ready do to the fact a new battery was just replaced. the mechanic said i need to be reset by driving. how many miles do i need to drive? i need that inspection.

in most cases it's about 20 miles and you must go over 40 for some peroid of time to reset the IAC valve

Depends on the car (computer), My GM truck takes about 20 miles..........
