I've been living at this place for about a month. The whole place is very clean and neat. However one thing I find very weird is the house owner doesn't really put much effort in cleaning any kitchen wares up. I often pick up a silverware or plates only to see bit piece of foods still stuck on it or pick pans up and feel greasey or bumps on bottom from foods, etc....

Other day I was in kitchen making breakfast, she came in and pull out a leftover and stir it a bit then she just run the spoon under water without any soap or even rubbing it and put it back in the drawer without checking to make sure it's completely clean first.

I'm so glad I caught the fact she's not exactly great at keeping kitchen wares clean the first day I moved in. So I clean everything before I use them and afterward.

Is it normal for a person to like their kitchen warethroughly scrubbed with soapy sponge and spotless? Or am I Just being super clean freak when it come to this?

Eeew, she licked the spoon, rinsed it, then put it back in the drawer?? I'd freak out. Maybe if she was living alone that would be OK (to each her own) but she did this KNOWING that you also use the silverware. I'm disgusted. And no, it's not normal to "clean" things that way. she's just asking for an illness. Enough "rinsing and putting away" and eventually she's going to come down with some type of nasty infection caused by all the bacteria on her silverware.

Sounds normal to me. But I've had housemates who didn't share my idea of a clean kitchen which includes flatware. I pointed it out to them and asked them if they'd please be a little more careful in the future as I use the cookware, dishes and utensils too.
