I honestly don't know if he will or not. If he does I will have no respect for the decision and cannot see any reasonable justification. The law applies to all, if you break it, get caught and convicted then you deserve punishment. I am a conservative and I was upset with many of the pardons made by Clinton which seemed all too political in nature, I certainly will not give George Bush a pass in this area should he do the same.

I'd say theres a good chance that he will pardon Scooter Libby.

His justificiation will be that he 'did a heck of a job'.

His actuall reason will be because he knows Scooter wouldn't last a week in prison before he would roll on everybody.

I think he should be pardoned, but only by whoever replaces Dubya and Dick after they are impeached. By that time noone will care about Scooter anymore.

I believe Bush will pardon Libby on his last day in office. It will be a way of thumbing his nose at his detractors while at the same time keeping it short for his pal and scape goat the Skooter. It will be a favor to Cheney who is really the guilty party in all this. I don't think the skooter should be pardoned because he chose to say what he did and to whom and when. He could have told Cheney to do his own dirty work and then resign before Cheney fired him.

Yea, I think he should be pardon. He was the fall guy for this whole stupid episode. There was nothing to what he did and yes he should be pardoned. Hell he should have never even been questioned, much less put on trial. If only to really p.o. the democrates and start something else for the media to cry about.

He will pardon him pronto before Scooter gets scared and starts talking - about Cheney and Rove.
Boy Bushie is such a wimp as to let those two guys rule him.

Yes he should be pardoned. This trial was a travesty.

Foley, what did he or Cheney do that was traitorous? Neither one leaked Plame's name. That was Richard Armitage. But don't let the facts get in the way.

If he doesn't win on appeal, yes. He should not have been tried in the 1st place. How can he have obstructed justice when
1) No crime was committed.
2) He didn't know who revealed the Plame identity (It was Richard Armitage, Deputy Sec. State.)
Plames involvement was of little interest to him so I wouldn't expect him to remember when, where or from whom he heard that she was CIA.

I don't know what Bush will say if it comes to that.

Any man that age that goes by "Scooter" should be pardoned.

yes

1. he won't need to justify it because he'll do it at the end of his term right before he flees to latin america.

2. no, presidential pardons were meant to overturn miscarriages of justice. this president has yet to use his pardon powers properly. as far as i can tell, scooter commited several felonies and his position should not exempt him from what anyone would suffer if they perjured themselves or lied to the fbi.

1.Scooter has been rail-roaded
If he lied he lied about something that didn't matter since the real leaker was Richard Armitage according to the special prosecutor and Richard Armitage is an unlikely pawn to be used by the government since he hates the administration.

2, No I think/hope the justice system will eventually get it right.
