To put it simply, dress like they do in the Abercrombie catalogs. You don't have to necessarily wear Abercrombie Brand, but that sort of style. They want to see that you have the "look" and "style" that Abercrombie promotes. DO NOT wear a suit, or "business clothes".
I just saw your update. It depends on what position you're applying for; brand rep? Manager in Training? If it's just for a brand rep then you could wear a skirt and tanktop. You'll be doing a "group interview" with other people and they'll be dressed like that too. If you're not comfortable in that, do a more "formal" casual, just like jeans and a collared shirt.
If you're applying for Manager in Training, do the more "formal" casual also, jeans and a collared shirt, maybe a jacket, etc.
P.S. The guy below me is wrong. If you show up in a business suit, prepare to feel extremely awkward.

Look at what the employees at the company are wearing and dress a step or two above that. Depending on the job, overdressing can be just as bad as under dressing. I manage a movie theatre. When I do interviews, I like to see the girls wearing a nice blouse and semi dressy pants or a skirt. But I have hired girls who came in wearing jeans and a clean t-shirt. One thing I would suggest is that you avoid cleavage. You want the interview to be about you, and you don't want the interviewer to be distracted by anything else. I'll be the first to admit that cleavage is like a magnet for the eyes and I always get irritated when a girl comes to an interview with a low cut shirt because it's distracting and makes me feel like she's trying to use her sex appeal to get a job. EDIT RedPoison: Are you aware that typing in all caps is the equivalent of shouting.

For an interview, you get no second opportunity to make a good impression. It does not matter that it is a kid's store, you want an adult job, right? The proper attire for any interview is a black or dark gray suit, or dress suit for ladies, with a plain shirt and a tie. No colorful shirt or tie please. Simplicity is always a winner.
Additionally, having your nails and hands taken care of with a proper manicure is a big plus.
Most important of all, don't forget a FIRM handshake. Good Luck!

Are you interviewing for your first job or something?
It depends on the job. I'm a journalist, and casual for me usually means some nice slacks (no jeans), and optional top. That means I can wear a shirt with any any number of buttons with a sportcoat. Relax is key for my field, especially in an interview.
Try Banana Republic, at least it works for me.

I think they mean business casual...but it is an interview...so you might want to go JUST a bit more than business casual...
Guy: khakis, clean runners, button up shirt, and blazer
Girl: comfortable shoes, maybe flats, skirt, and a blouse
Hope this helps.

Look professional but not "stuffy" and keep it conservative, especially since its a kids store. Think-collared shirt, khakis, shoes in nice condition. Pants can't be too tight, and noooo cleavage. Abercrombie label is a plus. :)

Chill girl! Calm down, you'll be fine. Just wear CASUAL clothes. Just be yourself. It would be better then what I wore. I had to walk to my first interview from school all sweaty and stinky. And they still hired me!!! They wouldn't care what you wear they just what you as a person to work for them and to basically represent them.
