no because it teaches overweight people that its ok and that its accepted to be overweight, when in all actuallity, its unhealthy and unnatural. i think overweight people should look up to healty weighted people and maybe go on a diet to try to lose weight. im not a plus size hater either. im just looking at what would be best for people with weight issues. lose weight, live longer! also: look at all those anorexic models! people shouldnt be anorexic either!! we need people who are healthy to look at. we don't want to see an anorexic model... it will make us think we should be skinnier when we are already a health weight just as we don't want to see plus size models, which makes people think its ok for them to be overweight.

Both. Some Models Are Not Anorexic, They Are Naturally Skinny Or Have A Fast Metabolism. There Real And So Are Plus Sized Models.

I think that's because the clothes for runways are only made in a 0 or a 1.

So until they can stop training the public that beauty is too skinny...we will have nothing but problems.

Why can't they make clothes to flatter only larger women? They're the pros right? Why should they limit their horizons? Don't they all realize that the average size of women is a 12?

I would think they'd sell more if they target this population.

I disagree with you. I think that there needs to be all kind of models in the high fashion industry, both plus-sized, slender (not heroin chic skinny) and fit models because they are represent ALL aspects of beauty and not just a particular type. When there is one kind of beauty that is emphasized over others, then the more easily influenced women will feel that they will have to strive towards that kind of aesthetic to obtain any kind of self-worth

I think absolutely they do. In America, the average size woman is a 14. Plus size begins at size 12. I think the rail thin models are ridiculous because most women look nothing like that.

Yes, I do. There is too much emphasize on these girls being bone thin. We all know that is causing eating disorders in young girls. Tyra has two plus-size models on the new show. They both look great. They are both size 16. They are both really good looking ladies.

I'd rather see plus-sized models than those anorexic skeletons. and yes, even heavy people deserve to wear decent clothing.

I think it should be people who are not too skinny and not too fat like you said, and the people who are in now are nasty and anorexic looking. I've seen pics of regular models and altered pics of them that showed a little more meat on their bones. Most men who took the poll picked the pic that was altered. Their kind of skinny is way unattractive to the majority of the population so why don't they start realizing this.

I hate to tell you this, it may not look nice, but in reality, there's millions of Plus sized women, and men. You might not like it, but suck it up. Plus sized people like to look nice too. So, if you don't like it, don't look. Oh, and I'm sure you're a perfect size, right ??? I'm a perfect size 12, and happy inside my skin. People like you really do make me ill. ~~~~~~~
