Has anyone noticed when they replay the short clips at the end of the show some of the videos don't match the performance? Chris Sly this week was one of them. In his performance he ran towards the band at the end of the song and waved his mic stand on the last note... but on the replay at the end he was facing the judges and waved his mic stand at the right time.
Do they have multiple performances? I have noticed this happen more than once and I have a DVR so I went back and reviewed it as well.
Anyone have any links or info about possible multiple performances?

For those who don't believe me... just watch the Chris Sly episode this week. Watch the mic stand at the end. Also it is live, but I am in AZ so it isn't live here or on the west coast.
Also last night there was a girl who hit her last note and looked up to the ceiling... the mic wasn't anywhere near her mouth but you could still hear her singing???
I am a huge idol fan... but I just wonder how this all works. I was hoping maybe someone has been to a show live or something?

None of it is live and there are often retakes. I work for Warner Brothers. That's show business! At the final editing they probably just missed something, which is what you saw.

I did notice a difference on one of the guys songs
and Im gonna watch for that, I also record every episode
Its w rong if that turns out to be true cause its adveritsed as live performances
we'll see, the truth will come out

Since the performance each night is live. They do not have the time to edit/ proof the final scenes so they use the ones from practice.

umm you have too much time on your hand.and the shows are live except for the audition episodes.

Maybe its from a rehursal...i mean how could they have gotten that footage together so quickly?
