what do u think about the transactions?
-i think the browns are crazy! they should trade for david carr and get adrian peterson in draft. carr and quinn seem very similar to me. i dont see quinn being very good in NFL so no need to get him in draft and j. russell will be gone to raiders. peterson is a stud! hes got heart.....
-the ravens got a good back but i dont think he fits their system. ravens play smash mouth football and pound the rock. mcgahee cant withstand 25 carries a game i dont believe. hes a small guy too. i think a better fit could have been found in the draft. they might as well take a shot at michael bush in the draft in the latter rounds and work on replacing adalius thomas with that guy from penn state--posluvsky???

Hopefully the Browns don't draft Quinn but instead pickup either and offensive or defensive lineman.

Well the Browns did do themselves a favor taking a guy that runs for 100+ yards against them every time he plays them no matter how bad of a season he is having, away from a rival but he isnt a long term solution and he wont even go over a thousand yards behind that line. They may use him as trade bait. If Peterson is on the board when they pick they are crazy to pass on him. As far as Baltimore goes they will be fine. They still have Anderson that fits the mold that they are used to and Musa Smith. Picking up Mcgahee gives them the chance to look at more pressing needs right now like a successor for McNair, Thomas and Ogden or CB because Rolle is begining to look like another overpaid nickle back.

I think the Ravens didn't want to thave any regrets on passing on an explosive back like McGahee. The Ravens have been a little more open to playin a little bit of finesse fotball sice McNair has been onboard, but you're right on the fact theyre still a hard running team no matter what. Polunzy is from Penn State.

i agree with you about both cases but i will explain the thinking for what i think it is:

the browns believe that charlie frye is their QB, although it may not stop them from taking brady quinn, and that with frye they are capable of winning NOW...therefore they get lewis, who is a proven back who has had injury and inconsistency issues, and hope that he can help turn around a hopeless running game with the aid of some OL help

brian billick(who calls plays for the ravens) will adjust his team's running style from more of a smash-mouth, inside running game to more of an off-tackle type attack, as evidenced by their release of edwin mulitalo, who is a huge guy...also, they have a couple backups who can spell mcgahee for short stretches, but the big risk is that if mcgahee gets hurt, these aren't the type of guys who can support a running game for any significant amount of time

lewis does carry alot of baggage but maybe if he gets away from that slow motion train wreck out there he might clear his head a little.hes still young.if i remember right the ravens kind of went to rb by commitee in the last few years.maybe they want a faster more agile back in the mix.they flat out stole him.
