To start it's all about price!

The 3.0i has the same seating but starts at 45,900. It has less standard features and less options available. The more you add to the car the more you are going to add to the price.

The 4.8i is the highest and starts at 54,500. This comes with the most standard features and offers the most options. Although most options are already in the car there a few that you can add, again the price going up with the more you add.

Those are the only two X5s that I am aware of.

4.4 X5 IS A V8 THE 3.0 IS A IN-LINE 6 ..I am not sure what a 4.1 is may be available in markets outside the U.S. depending on the year the H.P. will vary For 2007 the two engines available are the 260 H.P. in-line 6 cylinder or the 4.8 v8 @ 360 H.P other then that the SAV's (sport activity vehicle) are the same
