I have a Window 2000, but I do not have a cd for it. Is there any other way I can get it to read Japanese? It's very important!

Thanks!
Yoko

I'm not really looking for a translator, it's just that the Japanese symbols show up as boxes and question marks and I need to be able to read them. I have Window 2000 computer and no cd for it.

Download Yahoo toolbar. for IE or FireFox
http://toolbar.yahoo.com
( www. mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ )
To edit click down arrow near the pencil icon.
add Translate Page button.
Babel Fish translator for Japanese to English
and English to Japanese available.
Also in FF view/character encodings/more encodings/ east asian three Japanese fonts are available.

In FireFOx Tools/Options/content/advanced/fonts/ Default character encoding / japanese
In IE. Tools/Internet Options/general/appearance/languages/ add japanese
