There are "haves" and "have-nots" in our society. Some "haves" think what they have gives them an entitlement to be mean. Some of the "have-nots" want what you have and envy, greed, jealousy play a large part in their being mean.
Or maybe someone just had a bad day and took it out on you. Let me apologize for them. I know how they feel.

Because they're unhappy with their life and picking on other people makes them think they're superior.

they are mad at the world or dont love themselves so they cant love others.there are many good people as well,so dont give up on the human race
